Characters-Micheal Arroyo-He is a serious baseball player. He pitches 80 mph.
He plays for the Bronx All-Stars. His one dream is to play in the MLB.
Setting-Micheal lives in Bronx New York right next to Yankee Stadium. It takes place about the 1980's
Problem -Miguels dad is dead and he cannot play baseball without his birth certificate, which he cannot find. The main problem in the story Heat is that Micheal Arroyo, an immigrant from Cuba, is being accused of being older than 12. (In little league you have to be younger then 12.) They can't find a birth certificate, so Micheal live his dream of making it to Williamsport, PA for the little league world series.
Point of View-The story is told in third person. The story focuses on Micheal Arroyo
Plot-He knocks out the thief with a baseball.......He gets hit in the head with the baseball pitched by Justin......Thats when league officials suspect that Micheal is over 12 years old.....Micheal meets El Grande's daughter...
Climax-El Grande contacted Cuba and somehow got Micheal's Birth Certificate. Now he needs to find a way to become a legal immigrant
Resolution- is when El Grande contacted the people and got Micheals birth certificate from Cuba.
Author's Message-I think the authors message is that lying is not the way, so whatever happens just tell the truth and things will fall into place. I think the auther chose this message because a lot of people lie these days so he wanted to prove a point. He thinks honesty is important.
